Well I'm starting my blog again.
June flew by extremely fast, so I'll just give you the highlights of what happened.
I successfully completed my first year of teaching as of June 3rd. I have been enjoying a teacher's summer for the first time. The first week off I took a bunch of continuing education classes, and have been soaking up the sun ever since. I still think about my students this past year. It is funny how the small things still remind me of certain ones. I wonder if I will always remember those kiddos or if it is still really fresh on my brain? Only time will tell.
Justin and I had a wonderful trip to Cabo San Lucas with some close friends. It was nice to get away from it all and celebrate my 28th birthday. It is hard to believe that I am one year older. I'm sure that my parents feel the same way .
We have had some nice trips to the Lake House these past couple of weeks. It is so peaceful there. I love having my coffee in the morning and a glass of wine at night down by the water. (Well as close as you can get.) It still hasn't fully recovered from the drought last year. It looks a lot better though.
4th of July we celebrate with firework at the Lake. It was DeAnna's ( our niece) first firework experience and she loved it. Brooke did a really good job of talking them up before the show. She could tell you all about what to expect and she had never seen one in her life. Now she is a pro and kept asking for Uncle Justin to make it go boom again. She is two and I'm fascinated with her views of the world. She is becoming the queen of one liners. I love it!
